Dr. Jean-Pierre Attal has been authorized to supervise research since 2008. He leads The department of Biomateriaux.
He has focused his research for 25 years, under the direction of Professor Michel Degrange, on the study of adhesion mechanisms to calcified dental tissues.
As a French specialist in glass ionomer cements, CAD-CAM materials, 3D printing, resin cantilever bridges, bleaching and resin infiltration, he has contributed to the implementation of innovative protocols in restorative dentistry, prosthetics and orthodontics. His involvement in research has not kept him apart from the liberal practice he has practiced in Paris since 1989.
Conscious of the importance of research in private practice, he has created a network of practitioners in the Practice Based Research. He was a founding member of the Academy of Adhesive Dentistry (ADDA) and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Adhesive Dentistry. Currently he chairs the French Society of Dental Materials.
His passion for pedagogy enabled him to create training courses for practitioners with Dr. Gil Tirlet (with an interactive approach inspired by learning by problem solving) and a new journal of Clinical Dental materials.
He currently leads 40 people in the biomaterials research laboratory whose goal is to produce a biomimetic restoration.
He has authored over 500 national and international conferences to date and has published over 100 national and international articles on dental materials and esthetic dentistry.

Member of the Research Group in Biomaterials (under the direction of Pr Michel Degrange) from 1991 to 1997, Former member of the French Society of Esthetic Dentistry (SFDE), and Former President of the Academy of Adhesive Dentistry of Ile-de-France (ADDA). Private practice in Paris since 1986.
For more than 20 years, he has been specialized (private practice) in Restorative Dentistry and Fixed Prosthodontics. Speaker of more than 600 national and international conferences, he has published more than 90 national and international articles dedicated to aesthetics, in particular indirect techniques with composite and ceramic restorations.
In 2004, in collaboration with Dr Jean Pierre Attal, he has founded “SMILE”, the working group on subjects involving all domains of Esthetic Dentistry from ethical aspects until treatment description.
In 2006, he received, from the SOP, the “Best clinical article” prize on “Single tooth missing”
In 2008, he again received from the SOP the “Best speaker of the year” prize.
In 2009, he has found also with Dr Jean Pierre Attal the “Group Raphaël Formation” (www.formationgrf.com) which represent a pedagogic group with specific goal about formation in Biomimetic and Esthetic Dentistry for French and International practitioners.
In 2011, he creates a Biomimetics consultation to the Hospital Charles Foix, in Ivry sur Seine.
In 2012, he integrates the International Team of Bioemulation on the recommendations of Dr Pascal MAGNE (Professor to USC, California) and Dr Panaghiotis Bazos (Athen, Grece).
After 2009 he went for 3 years to the USA, where he worked as a department manager in a dental lab. After his traveling from 2000 to 2012 at home and abroad in 2011, he founded his own company – "Ardenta Dental Laboratory" – in Chur Switzerland.

Robert Arvai isauthor of scientific articles that have been published in Quintessence Dental Magazine, dental laboratory. He is also active internationally since 2013 as a consultant and trainer forSwiss – and International companies in the dental industry.
Since 2016 he has started teaching fixed prosthetics colloqium at the Master Dental Technician School in Switzerland, he also became a member of Bio-Emulation Group at the same year.
